• Develop the electronic hardware and interfaces required to control, drive and read out Lucore’s photonic processor.
• Design and integrate the electronics around the photonic core, helping transform the PIC into a functional computing system.
• Work closely with Lucore’s photonics team to define electrical, RF, control and system-level interfaces between the photonic processor and surrounding electronics.
• Establish the electronic architecture and deliver prototype control, drive and readout hardware that can be integrated with and used to test Lucore’s photonic processor.
• Hands-on experience in electronic hardware development, microelectronics, mixed-signal systems, RF electronics, embedded hardware or closely related system integration.
• Master’s degree or PhD in electrical engineering, microelectronics, electronics, embedded systems or a closely related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics, hardware interfaces, PCB-level design and the integration of electronic subsystems with advanced devices or sensors.
• Define the electronic architecture surrounding Lucore’s photonic processor, including control, drive, readout and communication interfaces.
• Design and prototype analog, digital and RF electronics required to operate and characterize the photonic hardware.
• Develop PCB-level hardware and support integration of components such as waveform generation, RF amplification, data conversion, control electronics and power management where required by the system architecture.
• Work with the photonics team on hardware interfaces, testing and system integration, iterating designs based on measured performance.
• Experience with high-speed electronics, RF design, DAC/ADC systems, FPGA or embedded control, semiconductor test systems, or photonic/electronic co-integration.
• Experience with PCB design and electronic simulation/layout tools, laboratory instrumentation, hardware bring-up and automated test or measurement environments.
• Experience with semiconductor packaging, chip-to-board integration, photonic systems, research hardware, prototyping partners or electronics manufacturing is valuable.
Location: Hannover, Germany or Copenhagen, Denmark. Hybrid arrangement with regular on-site work and access to relevant laboratories and collaborators.
